Overview
BILL handles AP and AR for small and mid-sized accounting firms and their clients. Invoices arrive from email or paper scan, get read automatically, and sit in an approval queue. Each sign-off step is logged, so audit trails are there when you need them. Once approved, payments go out by ACH, card, or check, and the transaction posts back to the general ledger without manual re-entry.
The AR side lets firms send branded invoices with a client-facing payment link, so customers can pay online rather than by cheque.
Accounting sync covers QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Dynamics. On the Essentials plan ($49 per user per month) sync is manual. The Team plan at $65 switches it to automatic two-way. Corporate at $89 adds procurement features and custom approval policies. Enterprise pricing covers multi-entity setups and advanced ERP needs. A free Spend and Expense tier handles corporate cards and expense tracking; that tier is funded through interchange rather than a monthly fee.
The accountant partner programme gives firms a dedicated management console for client oversight and wholesale pricing with a 10 to 20 percent discount based on volume. A free trial covers AP and AR plans. BILL is available in the US.
